Martha Ann Shiver was born 23 July 1834 in Dooly County, Georgia, the fourth child of Enoch and Dedemiah (LOVE or NETTLES) SHIVER.
She was married probably about 1851 to Rosier Shirley WINGATE. Rosier and Martha were probably married in either Dooly or Baker County, Georgia. The known children of this couple are:
- Frances, b. abt. 1853.
- Burrel, b. abt. 1855.
- Rozella, b. abt. 1858. (Married T. M. MULFORD).
- Alexander, b. Mar 1860.
- Ransom Beauregard, b. 4 Dec 1861, d. 22 Feb 1933.
- Jacob, b. abt. 1863.
- John W., b. 21 Dec 1867, d. 31 Dec 1886.
- Lewis Garner, b. 1 Jul 1870, d. 23 Jan 1958. (Married Lula Augusta KEY). For more information on this line, please contact Jerry Heard, a descendant.
Rosier died on 13 Jun 1909 in Mitchell County, Georgia and is buried in Camilla. His wife, Martha Ann, followed him in death on 30 Sep 1925 and is also buried in Camilla.
