P. L. SHIVER SUCCUMBS:  PELHAM RITES SATURDAY -- Perry Lloyd Shiver, 77, 
of Pelham, died Wednesday night at a Thomasville hospital following a lengthy illness.  
He was a native of Mitchell County, son of the late Lloyd Hampton and Elizabeth 
Luckey Shiver.  He was a retired employee of the grocery department of the Hand 
Trading Company in Pelham.  He was a member of the Pelham First Baptist Church.
    The funeral will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Pelham First Baptist Church.  
Interment will be in Pelham Cemetery with Braswell Funeral Home in charge.  
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Nell Taylor Shiver, one son, Grayson Shiver, 
Thomasville; one daughter, Mrs. H. F. Brown, Jr., Pensacola, Fla; two brothers; 
two sisters; 5 grandchildren, and 4 great granddaughters.
